Description

Total Lunar Eclipse, 16th May 2021
Piedra Parada, Argentina

A simple composition of the total lunar eclipse of the 16th May 2022 that shows us the shape of the Earth's umbra.
At the center is the eclipsed Moon, at the maximum of the totality, rounded by two 80%-eclipsed moons.
The darker appearence of the pre-totallity image (on the left) is due to some high altitude cirrus clouds. Maybe it also due to an active volcano in Tsonga Islands.

Acquisition: Astro Photography Tool and manually

EOS 760D, William Optics ZS61II APO
Integration, partial phase: 11 exposures, from EV12.1 to EV2.1
